Experience the Missouri Outdoors
Conveniently located along Highway 50, the BEST WESTERN Kelly Inn provides guests with quick access to a variety of unique ways to get outside and have fun. When you stay with us, not only will you be able to explore the adjacent National Field Archery Association, but you’ll be only a few more feet from the banks of the Missouri River.
Having grown to become the largest archery organization in the world, the National Field Archery Association has been dedicated to the sport of archery since 1939. Promoting a range of shootings styles, from traditional to freestyle, the NFAA hosts numerous championships throughout the year, including the popular 3 Star Tour. Events are held in Las Vegas, Louisville, and right here in Yankton, where over 1,000 gather for the First Dakota Classic. Archers competing in all three events can enter into a shoot-off for a new car or 10,000 dollars.
Less than a mile south of our hotel, the mighty Missouri divides South Dakota and Nebraska. Summertime weather lends itself to a calm day spent boating up and down the river. Launch your boat from Lewis and Clark Marina, just seven miles west of our Yankton hotel, or from Lewis and Clark Recreation Area, just a couple miles further west along Highway 52.
Fishing the Missouri River is another must for South Dakota visitors. Lewis and Clark Reservoir, just above Gavins Point Dam, brings fisherman competing for big catches of walleye and bass.
With a long list of comfortable accommodations and quick access to this level of outdoor fun, the BEST WESTERN Kelly Inn is the easy choice for Yankton, SD visitors.
